GIVING GEAR THAT KIDS CAN LOVE AGAIN

Project ReLove provides gently used tennis gear to kids in underserved communities. Our goal is to provide greater access to tennis to improve kids’ lives both on and off the court.

We work with both individuals and school teams to coordinate the collection of equipment, which is then cleaned and donated to summer recreational programs in the City of Detroit.

Please reach out for more details or to coordinate a pick-up.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDERs

TATUM HIRSCH

I started playing tennis at age six and quickly fell in love with the sport. Tennis helped me build confidence, create friendships, reduce stress and stay healthy, and I really want other kids to experience that. Through Project ReLove I am able to combine my love of tennis with my passion for fashion (and sustainability). By reusing and repurposing tennis clothing, we reduce textile waste and give gear a new life with kids who need it most.

BRITTON LEO

Growing up I played many sports, but it was through tennis that I really found my passion. The combination of speed, intensity, strategy and discipline really helped shaped the person I am today. It was on the courts that I made some many of my closest friends, and became a part of a community of families that support one another. Project ReLove can be the catalyst for many kids seeking a fun and healthy way to meet people and participate in a way that helps their sense of belonging and support. The contributions of the broader tennis community removes simple hurdles to introduce kids to this life changing sport.
